What will the next 200 years look like?
This impressive four minute Hans Rosling video tells the story of the world in 200 countries over 200 years using 120,000 numbers. By plotting life expectancy against income for every country since 1810, Hans shows how critical events shape our world. (And the graphics he uses are amazing!).
As you watch, try to identify the patterns that have happened over the past 200 years and consider what might happen over the next 200. Will history repeat itself and we’ll see another surge from the West or will the East hit the front and make the so-called ‘developed’ countries look like they’re standing still?
